Privacy and Cookies
The short version: your numbers stay in your browser, there are no accounts, and optional measurement and advertising load only if you accept.
The numbers you type
Every conversion is calculated in your browser. The values you enter, the results, and the number base inputs are never sent to our servers and never included in any measurement.
What is stored in your browser
- Theme. Whether you chose light, dark or the system setting.
- Recently opened pages. The last few converters you opened from the search box, so the search box can offer them again. This list never leaves your device.
- Cookie choice. Whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we do not ask again on every page.
All of these are kept on your device only. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Optional measurement and advertising
If measurement or advertising is enabled on this site, nothing from Google loads until you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you choose Reject, or make no choice, nothing loads.
If you accept, the following can happen:
- Measurement (Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics). We can see which pages are visited and which converters are used: the quantity and the two units, for example "force, newton to pound-force". Search terms typed into the search box may be recorded in shortened form, without anything that looks like an e-mail address, web address or phone number. This helps us find tools that are missing. The numbers you convert are not recorded.
- Advertising (Google AdSense). Ads may appear on some pages. Google may use cookies to choose and measure ads, as described in Google's own policies.
You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Choosing Reject there tells Google's tags to stop storing data.
Accounts and personal data
ForceConversion has no accounts, no forms and no comments. We do not ask for or store your name, e-mail address or any other personal details.
