About electric conductance units
Electric conductance measures how easily current flows through an object. It is the reciprocal of resistance, and its SI unit is the siemens (S): 1 S = 1 ÷ 1 Ω.
Because conductance is 1 ÷ resistance, a 100 Ω resistor has a conductance of 0.01 S. Converting between ohms and siemens therefore means taking the reciprocal, not multiplying by a factor. The older name "mho" ("ohm" spelled backward) is the same unit as the siemens.
