How to convert hexadecimal to decimal

Multiply each hexadecimal digit by 16 raised to the power of its position, counting from 0 at the right, then add the results.

Example: 9C (hexadecimal) to decimal

9C = 9 × 16¹ + C × 16⁰

= 144 + 12 = 156
